About
I'm Matt. I grew up in Burlington, Ontario, and used to come home from school every day to count the coins in my San Francisco 49ers piggy bank. I saved my first $100,000 by 20 and have never pulled a dollar out of my investments.
I studied Commercial Aviation Management at Western, earned my commercial pilot licence, and started posting about money from my dorm room in 2023. One short video a day turned into 200,000 followers and 180 million views, most of them people trying to figure out their first investing account.
Today I live in Toronto. I co-founded Dragonfruit Ventures, a Gen Z-led venture fund, and run DFV Labs, where we help startups win attention. I still make videos every week, because most people are never taught how money works.
